Fiat has launched the 2013 Grande Punto Sport 90HP in India today. The company launched the Punto Sport last year, which was a limited edition model. Now for 2013, the Punto Sport is back and will be offered in limited numbers. Fiat hasn’t done many changes to the Grande Punto and the additions to the Sport variant is purely cosmetic. The 2013 Fiat Grande Punto Sport is similar to last year’s model. It thus gets rear spoiler, Sport badging, sports pedals, Punto badged door sill, Sport floor mats with red stitching, chrome finished exhaust and body decals (side and rear).
The 2013 Fiat Punto Sport is offered in white and red colours with black coloured roof. The rear view mirrors are red and black coloured on the new pearl white and exotica red coloured vehicles respectively. Powering the Punto Sport is a 1.3-litre Multijet diesel engine which produces 93 PS of power and 209 Nm of torque, coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The ARAI certified mileage is 20.5 km/l. Fiat has priced the Punto Sport at Rs. 7.60 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). For existing owners, an independent accessories kit is offered which costs Rs. 22,000/-.
Fiat has chosen to launch the 2013 Grande Punto Sport at its Bangalore Fiat Caffe. The company believes buyers do modifications and they have thought about this while configurating the Punto Sport, after taking customer feedback. Fiat currently has 70 independent dealerships across India and will reach 100 outlets by the end of this year. To improve service experience, Fiat is opening exclusive service stations, organising service camps and offering right parts at the right time. Fiat cars are offered with 3-years standard warranty which can be extended by another 2-years. Fiat is the seventh largest car manufacturer in the world.
