The Yamaha FZ6R offers good features that make it an easy riding bike for beginners to get started. If Yamaha plans to get FZ6R in India, it will face tough competition with Kawasaki’s Ninja 650. The Ninja 650 is priced at Rs. 4.99 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi) and is powered by a 4 stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 8-valve, parallel twin engine that comes with 649cc of displacement. The engine develops a maximum power of 71 BHP at 8500 rpm and generates a top torque of 65.68 Nm at 7000 rpm. The new fuel injection and explosion settings on this torquey engine are cautiously selected to improve bottom-end torque, smooth low-mid rpm response and allow it to rev more quickly.
