The 2015 Suzuki Swish 125 gets a host of cosmetic upgrades for a fresh appeal. It rivals the Honda Activa 125 in the segment.

Leasing a fresh new life into its power scooter, Suzuki India has launched an updated version of the Swish 125 in the country, priced at Rs. 56,482 (on-road, Delhi). Launched in 2012, the scooter needed a much important comprehensive update, especially with the 125cc segment getting exciting. The 2015 Swish facelift comes with a host of changes and additional features on offer while the cosmetics have been updated for a fresh new look with new body graphics on the side panels.

Major updates on the 2015 Suzuki Swish include a new digital instrument console with service reminder, dual trip metre and digital clock. The 125cc scooter now boasts of a maintenance free battery, tubeless tyres and a new steel fender that has been made for practical day-to-day commuting. With the updates being external, Suzuki has retained the 125cc engine in its current state of tune offering 8.58 HP of power at 7000 RPM and 9.8 Nm of torque at 5000 RPM, paired to a CVT transmission.

Suspension duties are performed by telescopic front forks and a swing arm type, coil spring suspension at the rear. The new Swish continues to use 120 mm drum brakes at the front and rear. Suzuki is offering the scooter in four colours namely Glass Sparkle Black (YYB), Metallic Sonic Silver/Glass Sparkle Black (APT), Pearl Mirage White (YPA), and Candy Dark Cherry Red/ Glass Sparkle Black (ACC) that it says will make one stand out in the city crowd. This scooter rivals the Mahindra Rodeo, Honda Activa 125 and its own sibling, the Access.
