The 2016 Tata Hexa has finally made its debut here at the Auto Expo and it seems the automaker is onto something big with this product which has the ability to be a game changer.

Tata has been readying the new Hexa MPV since quite a long period of time and the Aria-successor has finally been revealed at the 2016 Auto Expo. We did see some pictures of the vehicle few months back and at that point of time the MPV did manage to seem very promising. After having a thorough look at the Hexa, we think Tata has done a splendid job with it and it should really sell in good numbers, unlike the older Aria.

On the looks front, it is very good to see Tata Motors incorporating a new design philosophy that looks fresh and has a lot more appeal than the older designs that Tata always used. The headlights look sleek while the bumper and grille gel in well with each other. The side profile reveals the MPV’s butch stance and it doesn’t look like a boring van at all. Even the rear is very nicely finished and overall the Hexa looks very good.

The interiors of the Hexa are also leagues ahead of what we usually see from Tata. The dashboard has a good design and the centre console has a neat layout too. The vehicle gets a Terrain Response System too while a touchscreen infotainment system from Harman is also available. The Hexa is powered by the 2.2-litre VARICOR diesel engine belting out 154 HP of power and 400 Nm of torque and it will compete head-on with the Toyota Innova.
