The 2017 Swift gets new headlights, bumpers and grille

The Suzuki Swift is a very popular hatchback in India as well as abroad. When it was first launched in India, it created an uproar and went on to become an instant success. The next generation of the Swift is bound to hit the markets in the near future and the first pictures of the vehicle have now been leaked, revealing the vehicle’s design.

The front of the Swift looks very sharp now and comes with a unique grille and attractive bumpers with a lot of design elements. The headlights also carry a very unique design. The side profile carries a similar design as the current model with its blackened A and B pillars. The alloy wheels carry a very sporty design and come in a dual-tone scheme. The rear of the car looks a bit toned down in comparison to the front.

Overall, the Swift continues to carry its curvy silhouette but it also gets some really sharp design elements. Moving to the insides, the dashboard gets an all-new style with a very neat layout. There is a touch-screen infotainment system on offer while you also get circular AC vents and instrument cluster. It seems that the new Swift will come with colour-coded panels on the interiors which will match the colour on the outside.

The global version of the Suzuki Swift will be powered by a 1.0-litre petrol engine in entry-level models and the Swift Sport will get a 1.4-litre petrol engine with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The Sport version will also get tweaks to the suspension, steering and brakes. The new Swift will be launched globally in early 2017 and it will be launched in India right away, being powered by new petrol (BoosterJet) and diesel (Maruti made) engines.
