The 2017 Aprilia SR 125 has been spotted in Pune. The scooter was first spotted at a dealership in Bangalore last year.

Aprilia SR 125 Spied With ARAI Stickers
The Aprilia SR 125 is believed to be with ARAI for certification purposes

Aprilia launched the SR 150 and the SR 150 Race scooters in the Indian market and since their launch they have been in good demand. The SR 150 sells in good numbers and this has probably motivated Aprilia to think of bringing in more variants of the scooter.

The Aprilia SR 125, scaled down version of the SR 150 was first spotted at a dealership in Bangalore last year. Now, the SR 125 has been spotted at Pune with ARAI stickers on it. Looks wise, the SR 125 is identical to the SR 150, the butterfly shaped headlamp, twin-pod instrument console, handle-mounted front turn indicators, dual tone seats, 14-inch alloy wheels with 220 mm disc brake for the front wheel all make it on the SR 125.

The 9.6 HP and 8.2 Nm of torque producing 125cc engine powers the SR 125. The front gets telescopic forks while the rear is suspended via a single-sided coil spring.

It happens to be too early to comment on the SR 125’s launch prospects in India. A smaller engine means the SR 125 will come priced lower than the SR 150, if Aprilia launches the SR 125 and prices it right, the company is sure to have another winner.
