Avenger 180 will not be available in the Cruise variant

The 2018 Bajaj Avenger 180 has been spotted ahead of its launch in India and guess what, the prices have also been revealed. The motorcycle is priced at Rs. 83,400/- (ex-showroom, Mumbai) and will be officially launched in the coming weeks.

Like the Avenger 150, the 2018 Avenger 180 will be available only in the Street trim. It’s safe to assume that the Avenger 180 will come in new colour options. While all the other bits like the new LED DRL headlight with fly screen and the pillion backrest will be carried over from the 220cc variant, the Avenger 180 will miss out on the fully-digital console to keep costs in check. By the way, the automaker is planning to discontinue the Avenger 150 post the launch of the Avenger 180.

The Avenger 180 is likely to be powered by the same 180cc motor that does duty in the Pulsar 180. Mated to a 5-speed gearbox, the powertrain produces 17 HP of power and 14.22 Nm of torque. Expect Bajaj to change the gearing ratios in the Avenger 180’s powertrain to match its cruiser characteristics. The Avenger 180 will rival the Suzuki Intruder 150 and at Rs. 83,400/- (ex-showroom, Mumbai), it is Rs. 2965/- expensive than the Avenger 150 and Rs. 9042/- cheaper than the Avenger 220.
