2018 Hyundai Creta features revealed ahead of a possible launch this month.

2018 Hyundai Creta Features List
Most of the new features will be limited to the top-end SX (O) variant only

We have seen quite a number of spy images of the 2018 Hyundai Creta being tested on our roads and for those of you not aware, the compact SUV is going to be launched in the country this month. Nonetheless, while Hyundai is yet to confirm the official launch date, variant-wise features of the vehicle have been leaked and the good news is, the already feature-loaded Creta now packs in more.

The new features making their way to the 2018 Hyundai Creta are a wearable ‘Smart Key Band’, 6-way power adjustable driver’s seat, electric sunroof, wireless charging and cruise control. These features will be exclusive to the range-topping SX (O) variant, however, the sunroof will also be making it to the SX automatic trim as well. The Smart Key Band will be compatible with an app called H-Band which is already listed on the Google Play Store followed by a description that states, ‘combines the intelligent key of Hyundai Creta’.

The image above also reveals the colour palette of the 2018 Hyundai Creta. While Earth Brown and Mystic Blue colours will be discontinued, the compact SUV gets two new colours – Passion Orange and Marina Blue. Passion Orange will be offered as dual tone option with a black roof and there is also another dual tone colour available – Polar White with Phantom Black. The colour orange, clearly, has struck a chord with us Indians, we saw it in the Hyundai Verna, Tata Nexon and also in the updated Maruti Vitara Brezza.

The facelifted Hyundai Creta gets a slightly tweaked front fascia. The revised (cascading effect) grille, projector headlights with LED DRLs and the sculpted front bumper with horizontally-stacked fog lights make the front end look bolder. The Korean carmaker will offer a new set of 17-inch alloy wheels, slightly tweaked tail-lights and a revised bumper.

The 2018 Hyundai Creta will continue to draw power from 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines. The compact SUV will also be available in a 1.4-litre diesel engine option. The 1.6-litre oil-burner makes 128 PS of power and 260 Nm of torque while the 1.6-litre petrol produces 123 PS and 151 Nm. The 1.4-litre diesel churns out 90 PS of power and 220 Nm of torque. Both the 1.6-litre petrol and diesel powertrains get a 6-speed manual as well as a 6-speed automatic transmission but the 1.4 diesel does the job with only a 6-speed manual gearbox.
