Isuzu has launched the 2018 MU-X facelift with a price tag of Rs. 26.27 lakhs.

Isuzu has launched the 2018 MU-X facelift with some visual tweaks. The MU-X has a very tough competition in the market from the Toyota Fortuner and the Ford Endeavour. The previous version was launched in 2017 couldn’t cope up with the competition. This time, Isuzu has upgraded the MU-X to make a strong rival for the Fortuner and Endeavour.

In terms of visual upgrade, the 2018 Isuzu MU-X facelift now looks more aggressive with new projector headlamps along with LED DRLs, new front grille and a revamped bumper. At the rear, it gets sporty LED taillights with a slightly revised bumper design. It also gets new 18-inch alloy wheels.

On the inside, the MU-X gets a new dashboard with a dual-tone finish, unlike the previous all-black theme. The MU-X also gets a premium faux wood panel to improve the cabin ambience. It hosts a new infotainment system along with a push-start button.

Under the hood, there’s the same 3.0-litre diesel engine which produces 174 BHP and 380 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission option, there is no manual transmission on offer. The shift-on-fly 4×4 drivetrain is also available along with the 4×2 variant.

The Isuzu MU-X facelift is a full-size SUV which competes against the very popular Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and Skoda Kodiaq. The upcoming Mahindra XUV700 (codename Y400) will be joining this war soon.
