The Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 has been spotted in a new colour scheme.

Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Spotted
The spotted test mule gets alloy wheels painted in red

A test mule of the Pulsar RS 200 in a new colour scheme has been spotted testing in Pune. It is clear this is just a new colour variant of the RS 200 and not the bigger and more powerful sibling to the RS 200, the RS 400. Bajaj had showcased the SS 400 concept at the 2014 Auto Expo, remember? Well, the automaker isn’t testing the Pulsar RS 400 just yet as the crankcase of the spotted bike is the same as that of the RS 200.

Meanwhile, the Pulsar RS 400 will borrow the powertrain from the Bajaj Dominar 400 and will be more powerful than it. Power output and torque are expected to be in the 40 PS and 35 Nm range. Bajaj might offer both the ABS and non-ABS variants and in terms of pricing, the motorcycle is expected to cost Rs. 1.8 lakhs (ex-showroom). The Pulsar RS 400 will take the fight straight to the Apache RR 310.

The test mule though camouflaged, reveals the black and red paint scheme. It also gets alloy wheels finished in red. The RS 200 is currently available in two colour options – Blue with White and Black with Grey. With the Laser edged theme, the company discontinued the Red and Yellow colour schemes.

The Pulsar RS 200 is powered by a 199.5cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled and fuel-injected motor that produces 24.5 PS of power and 18.6 Nm of torque. The powertrain comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle gets single-channel ABS and dual projector headlights.
