Bajaj Auto has launched the new Platina 110 at a price of Rs. 49,197/- (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new Platina 110 comes with some additional features and visual changes. The new motorcycle is available in three colour schemes- Ebony Black with Grey Decals, Ebony Black with Blue Decals, and Cocktail Wine Red.

One of the biggest changes on the Platina 110 is the inclusion of Anti-Skid Braking System, that comes as standard. The Anti-Skid Braking System is similar to Combined Braking System in which both the brakes are applied simultaneously when the rider presses only the rear brake pedal. The Government Of India mandate states that all the 2-wheelers having an engine displacement below 125cc must have this feature starting from 1st April 2019.

Bajaj Auto claims that the new Platina 110 is more comfortable thanks to its first-in-class spring-on-spring suspension with Nitrox gas-charged shock absorbers. The motorbike is also equipped with tubeless tyres as standard. The motorcycle competes with the likes of TVS Radeon, Hero Splendor, Honda CD110 Dream and Yamaha Saluto in the entry-level commuter segment.

The new Bajaj Platina 110 is powered by a new 115.5cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor that churns out 8.4 PS of power at 7000 RPM along with a peak torque of 9.81 Nm at 5000 RPM. The torque figure is the highest in class. The engine comes mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox.

Suspension duties are handled by 135 mm telescopic front forks and as mentioned earlier, a 110 mm spring-on-spring with Nitrox shock absorbers at the rear. Braking, on the other hand, is handled by 130 mm drum up front and 110 mm drum at the back, equipped with Anti-Skid Braking System which delivers an even brake force on both the wheels.

Visually the new Platina 110 looks identical to the Platina 100 ES, except for some graphics and decals. The Platina 110 also gets individual LED daytime running lamp (DRL), positioned above the headlamp, along with black alloy wheels, black grab rail, and black mirrors.

Commenting on the launch of the new variant, Eric Vas, President Motorcycle Buisness said that the Platina had always been synonymous with exceptionally high mileage and superior comfort. He also said that the Platina 110 now joins the highly successful existing Platina 100 ES to offer a premium option to 100cc consumers. He further added that the new Platina 110 is the best product for customers who value ride comfort and safety.
