BMW has launched the new generation S 1000 RR in India which is available in three versions.

2019 BMW S 1000 RR has been launched in India with prices starting from Rs. 18.50 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the Standard version. The superbike is also available in Pro and Pro M Sport versions. The new generation S 1000 RR comes with quite a lot of changes compared to its predecessor.

The styling is all-new. The signature asymmetrical headlight setup of the S 1000 RR is gone now. It comes with a sharp looking front profile. Has an aggressive side profile with sporty styling. The rear is quite minimalistic yet attractive. Overall, the 2019 BMW S 1000 RR looks very appealing.

Powering the S 1000 RR is a 999cc, water/oil-cooled, in-line 4-cylinder engine with BMW ShiftCam technology. This engine produces 207 HP at 13,500 RPM and 113 Nm at 11,000 RPM. This engine is paired with a 6-speed transmission.

The 2019 BMW S 1000 RR claims a top speed of 299 km/hr and 0-100 km/hr comes up in under 3 seconds. The ShiftCam technology increases power across the entire rev range.

Some of the electronics include BMW Motorrad ABS pro, digital traction control, hill start control and riding modes (Race, Rain, Road, Dynamic). The 6-speed gearbox allows bi-directional clutchless shifts.

The seat height of the bike is 824 mm, fuel tank capacity is 16.5-litre and the bike has a kerb weight of 197 kg. The range topping M Package offers 193.5 kg of weight. The front tyre size is 120/70/17 while the rear tyre size is 190/55/17.
