Ahead of its official launch, Honda has revealed the specifications of the 2019 Civic for India.

The Honda Civic is going to be launched in the Indian market in March 2019 and this D-segment sedan will be offered with 2 engine options. The petrol engine is a 1.8-litre, 4-cyl, i-VTEC unit churning out 141 PS at 6500 RPM and 174 Nm at 4300 RPM. The petrol engine will come with a CVT gearbox only and it has an ARAI-claimed fuel efficiency of 16.5 km/l.

The diesel engine is a 1.6-litre i-DTEC unit which is the same one that also powers the new CR-V. This engine makes 120 PS at 4000 RPM and 300 Nm at 2000 RPM. The oil-burner will be offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox and it has an ARAI-claimed fuel efficiency of 26.8 km/l.

The 2019 Honda Civic measures 4656 mm in length, 1799 mm in width and 1433 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2700 mm. The fuel tank capacity is 47-litres while the boot capacity is 430-litres. The petrol variant weighs 1300 kgs while the diesel variant weighs 1353 kgs.

The Honda Civic will get all 4 disc brakes and 215/50/17 tyres along with a full-sized spare alloy. It has a turning radius of 5.85-metres. Suspension duties are taken care of by MacPherson struts up front and an independent multi-link suspension at the rear.
