It is the first Kawasaki motorcycle to get BS6 compliant engine in India. The bike has been launched in the country soon after its debut at the 2019 EICMA show in Milan.

The 2020 Kawasaki Z900 isn’t a new generation bike but it gets significant updates over the previous model. It is almost Rs. 1 lakh more expensive than the outgoing model sold in India.

Some of the cosmetic changes include the new LED headlight along with tank extensions and revised tail. The new Z900 looks sharper and exposes the trellis frame. The tail gets the signature Z-shaped LED light. The graphics have also been revised.

The party piece of the new Z900 is the 3-level Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC) system with two modes – Low and Full. The bike comes with four rider modes – Sport, Road, Rain and Rider. The new Z900 comes with a new TFT display with Bluetooth and app connectivity.

Powering the 2020 Z900 is a 948cc, in-line 4-cylinder BS6 compliant engine that produces 125 HP at 9500 RPM and 98.6 Nm of torque at 7700 RPM. This engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox.

The Kawasaki Z900 competes with the likes of Suzuki GSX-S750, Triumph Street Triple and KTM Duke 790 in the Indian market.
