Second generation Mahindra Thar interior revealed in new detailed spy shots.
Mahindra is preparing to launch a new range of vehicles and most of them are new generation models of existing cars. The Indian carmaker is preparing to launch the new gen Scorpio, XUV500 and Thar next year. These models will comply with the new emission and safety norms that will get mandated from 1st April 2020.
The 2020 Mahindra Thar has been spotted on test multiple times. This time around the interiors of the 4×4 vehicle has been revealed in new spy shots. The interior seems to get drastic changes compared to the outgoing model. It looks modern with a new black dashboard and a TUV300 inspired steering wheel.
The second generation Mahindra Thar will get a lot of changes inside. We can see power window switches behind the gear lever. There is a new instrument cluster with a sizeable MID. The seats are new and come with supportive cushioning.
The 2020 Mahindra Thar is expected to come with a new BS6 compliant 2.0-litre diesel engine with 6-speed manual transmission and 4WD transfer case. In terms of size, the new Thar will be much wider and bigger in all aspects compared to the current gen Thar.
To clear the stock of the existing Thar in the market, Mahindra has introduced a limited edition Thar 700 with new colour option and visual changes to attract the buyers. The Mahindra Thar 700 is priced at Rs. 9.99 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
