2021 Benelli TRK 502X 1
The new design looks much sleeker and suitable for touring

We have now got a glimpse of the upcoming 2021 Benelli TRK & TRK 502X. While the bike revealed is the QJ Motor’s SRT 500, the TRK 502 will follow its footprints.

QJ Motor (Qianjiang Group) is the parent company of the Italian manufacturer- Benelli. This further solidifies our claim that the TRK will in fact be very similar to the SRT 500.

The biggest change on the 2021 TRK 502X looks to be its fresh styling. The updated ADV looks more radical than before and gets a futuristic all-LED headlight and a taller windscreen. The beak has also received a styling update, just like the handguards that now get ‘TRK’ badging.

To keep up with the competition, a 5-inch TFT display has replaced the previous semi-digital instrument cluster of the TRK 502. We also expect the motorcycle to get riding modes, connectivity features, etc. along with basic bits like ABS.

Further, the Benelli TRK 502 will likely be available in three variants, with one alloy wheel variant, and two variants with spoked wheels. The top-spec variant will get Brembo callipers for braking duties, while the other two might get J Juan calipers.

Other updates include a new magnesium swing arm and other lighter bodywork, which has resulted in a 10 kg weight reduction for the 2021 Benelli TRK 502. However, Benelli has retained the suspension hardware and frame from the predecessor.

While we don’t have the official numbers yet, the updated 500cc, parallel-twin powering the TRK 502 is likely to get a marginal performance hike to around 48 BHP and around 48 Nm of torque. Moreover, Benelli has confirmed that they are working on a BS6 compliant motor for our market.

Lastly, Benelli’s BS6 fleet has just one offering currently- the Imperiale, but we expect the TRKs to reach India in the first half of 2021. As per the trend, the price of the new TRK 502 could be about Rs. 40,000/- more than the previous model.
