BMW has launched the 2021 6-series Gran Turismo (GT) with an introductory price tag that starts from Rs. 67.90 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the entry-level 630i M Sport variant.

Also available in 2 diesel variants (620d Luxury Line and 630d M Sport), the luxury car can be booked starting today. Online bookings done till 30th April 2021 will, for limited units, come with complimentary accessories and ‘Lifestyle Collection’ products worth Rs. 1.5 lakh.

The 2021 BMW 6-Series GT sports a striking exterior styling made possible by sharp lines, sleek LED lighting units (Laserlight is offered in M Sport variants), and the coupe-esque body style.

Colour options the 2021 6-Series GT comes with include Tanzanite Blue metallic, Phytonic Blue metallic, Piemont Red metallic and Bernina Grey Amber.

Inside, the car features gloss black trim on the centre console, natural leather Dakota trim with fine wood trims in the 630i and 620d and ‘Nappa’ leather upholstery with diamond stitching in the 630d variant.

Features that the 2021 BMW 6-Series GT price gets buyers include electric seat adjustment with memory function, electrically adjustable backrest angle for the rear bench, a 2-part panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting 4-zone automatic climate control, electrically adjustable roller sunblinds and soft-close doors.

What’s more, the luxury 4-door coupe also features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch control display, 2 10.25-inch touchscreens for the rear passengers, BMW Virtual Assistant, Gesture Control (in 630d), wireless device charger, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 16-speaker Harman Kardon Surround Sound System, Parking Assistant with rear-view camera, Reversing Assistant and even remote control parking function.

In terms of powertrains, the 630i comes with a 2.0-litre petrol engine making a maximum of 258 HP and peak torque of 400 Nm. It can do the 0-100 km/hr sprint in 6.5 seconds.

The 620d has a 2.0-litre diesel engine developing 190 HP and 400 Nm and can complete the 0-100 km/hr dash in 7.9 seconds. The 630d has a 3-litre 6-cylinder diesel engine which is good for 265 HP and 620 Nm. It is the fastest of the lot to hit 100 km/hr from nought (6.1 seconds).

All the engines come paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. There are paddle shifters on the steering wheel for keen drivers to take control of the gear changes, while there are drive modes on offer as well.

Moreover, for those who wish to have a very plush ride, the 2021 BMW 6-Series GT price gets the Comfort+ mode which puts the adaptive 2-axle air suspension in its softest setting. Further, the car comes with cruise control with braking function and a multitude of safety systems onboard.
