2021 BMW R nineT, R nineT Scrambler Launched, Priced From Rs. 16.75 Lakhs

BMW has launched the 2021 R nineT Scrambler with a Rs. 16.75 lakhs price tag and the 2021 R nineT at Rs. 18.50 lakhs (both prices ex-showroom) in India, today.

Available as completely built-up units (CBU), both motorcycles feature a LED headlamp with DRL and a new circular instrument cluster with analogue speedometer.

Common to the 2 variants of the R nineT is the 1170cc air/oil-cooled 2-cylinder boxer engine that churns out 109 HP at 7250 RPM and 116 Nm of torque at 6000 RPM.

Mated to a 6-speed gearbox, the motor’s power is sent to the driving wheel through a shaft drive. Despite the bikes weighing just above 220 kg (wet), they can do the 0-100 sprint in 3.5 seconds and hit a top speed of over 200 km/hr.

However, they could not be different when it comes to the way they look. The 2021 BMW R nineT price gets customers a classic roadster that has beautiful craftsmanship.

Equipped with wire-spoked wheels, the motorcycle features 46 mm USD front forks, adjustable rear monoshock, a shorter wheelbase, wider 180-section rear tyre and a 18-litre fuel tank.

It can be had in colour options such as Blackstorm Metallic/Brushed Aluminium, Option 719 Aluminium, Mineral White Metallic/Aurum and Night Black Matt/Aluminium Matt.

The 2021 BMW R nineT Scrambler price will get buyers a taller seat height, 17-litre fuel tank, a bit more weight (223 kg), 170-section rear tyre, 43 mm telescopic front forks, an adjustable rear shock and cast alloy wheels.

Available in Granite Gray Metallic, Cosmic Blue Metallic/Light White, Black Storm Metallic/Racing Red and Kalamata Metallic Matt colour options, it sports the same braking hardware as the roadster.

One other feature common to both bikes are the ‘Rain’ and ‘Road’ riding modes. Also, they come with ABS Pro, Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), Automatic Stability Control (ASC) and feature a standard 3 years, unlimited kilometres warranty (extendable), RSA and a range of exclusive accessories.
