2021 Honda City Hatchback RS
The sporty-looking RS trim also has the most number of features

Honda has launched the 2021 City Hatchback in Thailand and the car will go on to replace the current generation Jazz/Fit in many markets.

It looks exactly like the City right until the C-pillar and even maintain’s the C-segment sedan’s wheelbase. At the rear, however, there is a hatch that is neatly integrated and even the taillights look almost identical to those on the City.

This makes it evident that Honda had planned the hatchback right when they were designing the City sedan as well. Because it is based on the City, it is also bigger than the current-generation Jazz by some considerable margin.

Inside, the 2021 Honda City Hatchback looks identical to the sedan it is based on and even gets what the carmaker calls “Ultra Seats” for greater convenience.

Powering the Thailand version of the car is a 1.0-litre turbo petrol motor capable of putting out 120 HP and 173 Nm of torque. It is connected to a CVT that sends the power to the front wheels.

When it comes to the features, the range-topping, sporty-looking RS trim (comes with cosmetic add-ons) has among other things, 6 airbags, paddle shifters, cruise control, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, red illumination for the digital screen in the instrument cluster, rear charging ports and rear armrest.

Prices in Thailand kick off at 599,000 baht (Rs. 14.58 lakhs) for the base model and rise to 749,000 baht (Rs. 18.24 lakhs) for the aforementioned RS variant.

The City Hatchback will replace the fourth-generation Jazz, revealed earlier this year, in markets like Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.
