2021 Tata Safari Spotted Sunroof
It should come with plentiful features right from the get-go

The 2021 Tata Safari has been spotted undisguised at the carmaker’s factory once again, ahead of its official reveal scheduled for 26th January.

While the car’s exterior images have started surfacing since a long time ago, its interior has not been spied much.

Of course, it is known that the 2021 Safari will share most of it interior components with the Tata Harrier. However, it does come with an additional row of seats and also has a brighter upholstery to ensure that the interior is not dreary.

Now, by way of these spy shots, we can also confirm that the new Safari will come with a panoramic sunroof, like the Harrier.

These spy shots also confirm exterior detailing that Tata has been revealing of late. The stepped roof design of the SUV does look well and so does the metal-finish detailing on the C-pillar.

At the rear, the windscreen is larger and has less rake to it, while the tail gate is a bit longer, sporting the Safari badging and the bumper houses elements like the silver-finish trim piece that connects both exhaust outlets.

The front profile of the car has already been seen. The previous 2021 Tata Safari spotted car featured the new grille, a teaser image of which Tata shared, and the headlights get chrome garnish as well.

It is fairly obvious that the Safari will command a premium over the Harrier, likely by around Rs. 1 lakh. So, it is expected to come with more features than the car on which it is based.

Tata will make use of the Harrier’s 2.0-litre diesel motor (170 PS and 350 Nm) that can be mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox for the Safari and the SUV is likely to be only front-wheel-drive, at least when it gets launched.

Bookings have also reportedly commenced unofficially at select dealerships, with the token amount set at Rs. 51,000/-. Tata is expected to make an official announcement with regard to that soon.
