2021 Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace Facelift Front
European customers have the option to choose IQ.Lights with matrix LED tech

Volkswagen has unveiled the 2021 model year Tiguan Allspace which has been given a modest facelift and a more premium cabin.

The exterior design update has resulted in the SUV getting restyled headlights with new LED light signatures, a new grille with 4-layer chrome lines. Higher trim models also get a lightbar running across the grille.

At the back, the 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace has new tail lamps, while the Tiguan badge is now present under the brand emblem and there is even a new 4Motion badge on the tailgate.

The R-Line variant now looks more aggressive with restyled bumpers, piano-black inserts and chrome applique and the SUV comes with 17- to 20-inch wheels depending upon the variant chosen.

What’s more, Volkswagen has also added 2 new colours – Kings Red and Oryx White – to take the number of colour options offered with the car to 8.

Inside, the 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace looks more premium now. There are 2 instrument screen sizes – 8 inches and 10.25 inches – with the smaller one being offered as standard.

A wide range of online-based services are on board due to the MIB3 Infotainment system, while other features like ventilated leather seats, light assist, adaptive cruise control and autonomous emergency braking are also offered.

Further, Volkswagen has fitted haptic “buttons” on the steering wheel, along the infotainment screen and for the air-con controls, while there are new inserts on the doors on which a lightbar can also be integrated in higher trim models.

In India, the Tiguan Allspace facelift will come powered by a 2.0-litre turbo petrol motor making a maximum of 190 PS and 320 Nm of torque. The engine will come mated to a 7-speed DSG which will send power to all 4 wheels.

Volkswagen’s IQ.Drive safety tech should ensure both the car’s occupants and pedestrians stay clear of harm’s way and expect the SUV to cost a bit more than the pre-facelift model when it gets launched here.
