2021 Volkswagen Tiguan Features

2021 Volkswagen Tiguan revealed with updated styling, new features and new powertrain options as well. The facelifted model is expected to launch in India too by next year. It will be positioned under the Tiguan Allspace and will be assembled locally.

The front fascia now looks more flamboyant. It comes with new set of LED headlights integrating new LED DRLs detailing. The grille has now grown in size, while the bumper is revised as well. There are new set of alloys on offer. The tail lights get new LED detailing.

The performance oriented Tiguan R looks quite sporty with an aggressive new bumper having huge air intakes. It gets larger and more attractive alloys. The bigger spoiler and quad exhaust pipes up the sporty quotient further.

The interiors get a new steering wheel with “illuminated touch islands and sliders.” It gets touch sensitive controls. New virtual cockpit all-digital instrument cluster is an 8-inch unit and there is an optional 10.25-inch display too.

There is a larger touchscreen infotainment system on offer. It comes with 480-watt Fender premium audio system.

It is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder TSI engine producing 187 PS and 299 Nm torque. There is a new plug-in hybrid engine producing 245 PS and a high-performance Tiguan R producing 320 PS. The latter two won’t come to India.
