Force is bombarding netizens with teaser videos of its 2022 Gurkha

Force Motors is set to unveil the model year 2022 Gurkha and is thus releasing a flurry of teaser videos on social media recently.

Built on an all-new platform, the off-roader that was showcased at the Auto Expo 2020 takes its styling cues from the erstwhile Mercedes G-Wagon and the G-Class.

For model year 2022, Force has given the SUV LED headlamps with DRL, ripped bonnet, Gurkha branding on the radiator grille and revised front bumper.

It also gets a new gill on the fender, new ORVMs, panoramic windows, 4x4x4 metallic mnemonic, an air intake snorkel, restyled tail lights, and a new rear windscreen with rear wiper.

Previously released 2022 Force Gurkha teaser videos show that inside, the SUV will get a Matte Black dashboard and centre console, new gear and 4×4 levers, captain seats for all passengers, fabric seat upholstery and armrests for second row occupants.

Although the interior will not be packed with technology, there will be an infotainment touchscreen with smartphone connectivity and other essential features on offer.

Force is likely to offer new colourways for the Gurkha this time around, including dual tone finishes, and there will be optional extras like a roof rack, further improving the vehicle’s usability factor.

A 2.6-litre diesel engine will power the off-roader and it will put out 90 BHP and 260 Nm of torque. The engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission which will send the motor’s power to all 4 wheels.

The Mahindra Thar rival will be unveiled on 15th September, while the official launch is expected to happen a month later.
