The 2022 Kawasaki Ninja 300 BS6’s price remains unchanged at Rs. 3.37 lakhs (ex-showroom), gets new graphics

Kawasaki India has launched the 2022 iteration of its popular entry-level sport bike, Ninja 300 BS6, at the same price tag of Rs. 3.37 lakhs (ex-showroom) as last year. Bookings are also open with immediate effect.

The bike now features new graphics on 2 of the total 3 colours on offer – Lime Green, Candy Lime Green, and Ebony. While the signature Lime Green remains the same for 2022 with the combination of green, black and white, the other colours have got slight updates. The Candy Lime Green now gets Ninja embossed in grey colour unlike the 2021 model’s green colour.

The web like design on the fairing has been replaced with a splash of black and grey. The Ebony is the 1 with significant updates as the graphics are altogether different now. All the patterns have been removed and the bike now features plain green stripes on black panels.

Other than these changes, the bike remains the same. It’s BS6 complaint and comes with dual channel ABS as standard. The entry-level sport bike competes with KTM RC 390, Honda CB 300R, Royal Enfield Continental GT 650, and BMW G310GS.

The 2022 Kawasaki Ninja 300 is powered by the same 296 cc liquid-cooled 8-valve DOHC parallel-twin engine with dual throttle valves. It produces 38 HP at 11,000 RPM and 26.1 Nm at 10,000 RPM.

The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission with an ‘Assist and Slipper’ clutch that also has a servo mechanism for easier lever pull. The engine sits on a high-tensile diamond steel frame.

The Lime Green colour remains unchanged

With a kerb weight of 179 kg, the Ninja 300 is lighter than the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 by a good 23 kg. The bike’s 780 mm seat height makes it shorter than all of its competitors enabling shorter riders to feel comfortable.
