The 2022 KTM 1290 Super Duke GT will be available overseas from early next year

This is the 2022 KTM 1290 Super Duke GT, a sport-touring machine with a ballistic V-twin engine, lots of electronics and menacing bodywork.

From the get-go, it is clear the the Austrian brand has built this motorcycle for going long distances at speed without breaking a sweat.

Finished in the exclusive, GT-only paint and graphics package, the sports tourer has LED lights, including LED cornering lights with integrated LED indicators up front.

It has a large adjustable flyscreen, handguards, heated grips, 7-inch TFT display with TBT+ navigation, split seat, integrated pannier mounts, and adjustable rider foot rests and controls.

Nestled in the trellis frame is the 1301cc 75-degree V-twin motor that delivers 173 BHP and 141 Nm of torque. The engine is teamed to a 6-speed transmission with a slipper clutch and bi-directional quickshifter,

Semi-active WP suspension (125 mm travel up front and 156 mm rear travel) ensure that the rider and pillion passenger stay comfortable over long rides. And the rides will be long between fill-ups thanks to the 23-litre fuel tank.

Its seat is 835 mm high, while the road clearance is at 141 mm

Equipped with a single-sided swingarm, the 2022 KTM 1290 Super Duke GT features dual 320 mm front discs with Brembo 4-piston radial calipers and a single 240 mm rear disc with Brembo 2-piston caliper.

The sports tourer has tonnes of electronics including ride-by-wire, 3-level traction control, stability control, Motor Slip Regulation (MSR), cornering ABS with supermoto mode, hill hold control and TPMS.

Further, cruise control comes as standard and there is also a “Performance Mode” selecting which turns of anti-wheelie and dials in launch control.
