The FASTER awards will be handed under 6 broad categories

The very first Federation of Auto Scribes of the Electronic Realm (FASTER) awards will be handed out come February next year in Mumbai.

FASTER currently constitutes online automobile media outlets such as CarBlogIndia, Gaadify, Gaadiwaadi, GearFliQ, India Car News (ICN), MotorBeam and Motoroids.

The inaugural awards ceremony organised by the federation will celebrate people and products that inspire product innovation, customer experience and excellence in India’s automotive industry.

The following are the 6 categories for awards will be given –

First up is the “Car, Bike, and Scooter” category and the awards which will be given are –

  • Car of the Year
  • Bike of the Year
  • Scooter of the Year
  • EV of the Year (4- and 2-wheeler)
  • Design of the Year (for car and bike) and
  • Best Luxury Car, Sports Car, and Sports Bike of the Year

Collectively, the 7 publications have a combined monthly reach of over 250 million online users

Up next are the “Personality and Team” awards and they include an award each for –

  • Automotive Personality of the Year
  • Motorsport Personality of the Year
  • Corp Comm Team of the Year and
  • PR Team of the Year

Then come the “Tech Award” for the automotive tech of the year, the “Ad Campaign” award for the automotive ad campaign of the year, “Auto Accessory” Award” and finally, the “Model of the Decade” award (for both the car and bike categories) for models launched between 2010 and 2020.

Founding Member and Chairman at FASTER, Amit Chhangani, said, “With FASTER Awards, we aim to create the most credible auto awards in the country by employing an objective, user focused and fully transparent adjudication process.”

Founding Member and Secretary at FASTER, Narendra Sharma, said, “The objective of FASTER Auto Awards is to be transparent and impartial. Moreover, it shall reach out to audiences across demographics, informing them of the best products and personalities in the industry.”
