2022 KTM RC 125 Type Approval
Soon, the new generation RC 390 and RC 200 should be homologated too

UPDATE – KTM India has teased the new generation RC models through a teaser video on social media, the link to which will be added below.

The 2022 KTM RC 125 will come with completely new styling

KTM has received type approval certification for the 2022 RC 125. The Austrian brand has also subsequently released the teaser video for its new generation supersport models, indicating that their unveil is right around the corner.

Unveiled globally along with the new generation RC 390 in August, the smallest RC model, according to the type approval certificate, uses the same motor as the current version.

Powered by a 124.71cc single cylinder motor, the 2022 KTM RC 125 makes a maximum of 10.66 kW (14.3 BHP) at 9250 RPM. The torque, which is not mentioned in the document, should stay at 12 Nm like in the current RC 125.

In terms of dimensions, the new RC 125 will be 1965 mm long, 701 mm wide, 1150 mm tall and it will come with a wheelbase of 1347 mm, slightly longer than the wheelbase of the current bike.

But the biggest change would obviously be in the styling department as the 2022 RC 125 will adopt KTM’s latest design language (and paint schemes) which will replace the much loved sharp styling of the current RC models.

Apart from the new styling, the motorcycle will also come with height-adjustable handlebars, new WP Apex suspension, the same brakes as the 2022 RC 390 and dual channel ABS.

While the international model sports a LED headlight and a TFT display, the Indian version is expected to feature a halogen headlight unit and an LCD instrument panel.

KTM asks Rs. 1,80,666/- (ex-showroom) for the current RC 125 and the new version, which will make its debut soon along with the 2022 RC 200 and RC 390, is likely to cost Rs. 1.90 lakhs (ex-showroom).
