KTM received an excellent response for the Duke 125 and hence they’re now gearing up to launch the RC 125.

KTM RC 125
The India-spec RC 125 is likely to get an underbelly exhaust

KTM India launched the Duke 125 sometime back and the company received a very good response from customers. Following this, the Austrian bikemaker is now readying the RC 125 for its India launch. The RC 125 was spotted on test recently and it has now been learnt that the bike will be launched here in June 2019.

The international version of the RC 125 comes with a side exhaust but the India-spec bike is likely to get an underbelly exhaust. The colours on offer will be the same as the global model. On the suspension front, the RC 125 gets WP upside down forks upfront and a monoshock at the rear. A 300 mm disc does duty at the front while at the rear you get a 230 mm disc.

The KTM RC 125 gets the same engine as the Duke 125, which is a 124.7cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder unit. This engine belts out 14.5 PS at 9250 RPM and 12 Nm at 8000 RPM. The engine comes matched to a 6-speed gearbox. Expect the RC 125 to be priced in the whereabouts of Rs. 1.40 lakh (ex-showroom) and it will directly compete with the Yamaha R15.
