2023 Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 features a small fly screen, gets subtle changes on the outside
The next generation 2023 Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 has been spotted on test undisguised for the first time abroad. The India-bound Husky features a new fly screen and subtle changes on the outside.
At the front, the USD forks get guards and the radiator side guards are now quite bigger. The tank side extensions are insanely big and lend a lot of character. The instrument cluster seems to be new and might be loaded to the brim with information.
The rear frame is longer and flatter making it comfortable for the pillion. The seat is longer ending in a proportionate rear. The tail light is bigger while the bike gets an extended mud flap instead of the tyre hugger of the outgoing model.
The knobby dual-purpose tyres have been retained and so is the steel trellis frame finished in Black. The handlebar gets risers and the there are some retro elements throughout the bike like the round headlamp, exposed frame, and round RVMs.
The 125 cc DOHC 4 valve engine on the outgoing model churns out 15 HP at 9500 RPM and 12 Nm at 7500 RPM and comes mated to a 6-speed transmission. Husqvarna is likely to carry forward the engine on the new bike.
The fuel injected mill is already Euro 5 compliant. The outgoing bike gets WP suspension setup and Bybre brakes at both ends. It rides on 110/70-17 front and 150/60-17 rear tyres. The ground clearance is 145 mm and the kerb weight is 153 kg.
Lastly, Husqvarna might also launch a purely road-going version with alloy wheels and on-road tyres as pictured above. The alloy wheels are a direct lift from the KTMs.
The all-new Svartpilen 125 might make its global debut sometime later this year while Indian launch might take place next year. During the initial hype, KTM Duke and RC125 generated good sales and so Bajaj might consider bringing this new Husky here.
