2023 Mercedes E-Class LWB Spotted
The longer wheelbase version now looks almost like a clone of the S-Class

2023 Mercedes E-Class LWB leaked ahead of official debut

2023 Mercedes E-Class LWB leaked, India bound. Spy shots of the new generation E-Class Long Wheelbase (LWB) have surfaced. This left-hand drive model is specifically designed for the Chinese market.

Notably, it has been revealed that India will also get its own LWB version of the E-Class in 2024. Just like the last generation of E-Class, the W214 will also be available only in the LWB guise.

The first thing that strikes you about the new E-Class LWB is its striking resemblance to its illustrious sibling, the S-Class. A layman won’t be able to differentiate between the two easily, specially from the rear profile.

The longer wheelbase will add extra legroom for the rear passengers. Such cars are mostly chauffeur driven in the Indian market and Mercedes has witnessed impressive volumes with the E-Class in the country.

We believe Mercedes will be offering the same engine options with the new E-Class in India. It is currently on sale with 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engine options along with a 3.0-litre diesel for the range topping variant.

It will compete with the likes of BMW 5-Series and Audi A6. However, none of the competitors offer LWB versions, Mercedes has an edge over the rivals in this regard.
