2024 Volkswagen Tiguan leaked ahead of global debut
2024 Volkswagen Tiguan has been spotted undisguised for the first time while shooting the TVC in Europe. The new generation model gets heavily revised exterior following the new design DNA of the German carmaker.
At the first glance you will notice that the new model has got some curves compared to the outgoing model that had straight and sharp design elements. They might have done this to improve the aerodynamics of the SUV.
The front gets a new set of headlights that look slimmer, there is a new grille and a redesigned bumper with huge air intakes and chrome accents. On the side profile you will notice a new premium alloy wheel design that looks sporty.
The shoulder line emerges front the front and gets dissolved in the centre while emerging back at the rear. The current model has a straight line running across the body consistently. The roof slopes down gradually towards the rear where you get new wraparound LED tail lamps.
There are no spy shots of the interior but you could expect some radical changes inside. Likely to get an all-new dashboard with large screens and higher resolution offering latest UI and features.
Volkswagen will be offering multiple petrol and diesel engine options with the new Tiguan. The German carmaker will also offer plug-in hybrid powertrains with more than 100 km of electric only range. The new Tiguan will also get 48V mild hybrid tech on the regular petrol and diesel variants.
Volkswagen no longer offers diesel engines in India so we can expect only petrol engine options with the new Tiguan. The global debut is expected in September this year while deliveries are likely to start in early 2024 in the international markets. India launch is likely to happen later in 2024.
