Hero MotoCorp’s upcoming Xpulse 421 has been spotted testing once again, with the latest sighting taking place in Ladakh. Although the motorcycle continues to wear heavy camouflage, the new spy images and videos provide a better look at its overall proportions and adventure-focused design.
The Xpulse 421 appears to feature a tall windscreen, a large fuel tank, long-travel suspension, wire-spoke wheels and an upright riding position. The test motorcycle also seems to offer generous ground clearance, indicating that it has been developed with off-road capability in mind.
Powering the upcoming adventure motorcycle is expected to be a new 421 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine paired with a 6-speed gearbox. While Hero MotoCorp has not revealed official specifications, the engine is likely to be mounted on a steel trellis frame. The motorcycle is also expected to receive suspension and chassis components suited for both touring and off-road riding.
The Xpulse 421 is expected to become the flagship model in Hero’s adventure motorcycle range, positioned above the recently introduced Xpulse 210. Once launched, it is likely to compete with rivals such as the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the KTM 390 Adventure S.
Hero MotoCorp has not announced an official launch date for the motorcycle. However, industry reports suggest the Xpulse 421 could make its global debut at EICMA 2026 before reaching the Indian market in early 2027.
