The upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 125 has been spotted at dealerships ahead of its expected debut on August 12, giving a clearer look at the updates planned for the entry-level motorcycle. The model had previously been seen undergoing road tests in camouflage, but the latest sighting reveals most of its exterior changes.
This appears to be a significant update for the Classic Pulsar 125, despite the motorcycle receiving a refresh earlier this year. While Bajaj has not officially announced the new version, the bike’s arrival at dealerships suggests its launch is imminent. The company has previously displayed unreleased products at showrooms before their official introduction.
The updated Pulsar 125 adopts a sharper front-end design with a redesigned LED headlamp that gives the motorcycle a more aggressive appearance. The fuel tank retains its familiar shape, although the tank extensions have been revised with a more angular design. At the rear, the motorcycle receives a redesigned LED tail lamp, marking the first major styling revision to the Classic Pulsar’s tail section in many years.
The motorcycle seen at the dealership appears to be a lower-spec variant, featuring a single-piece seat and a one-piece grab rail. Earlier spy images have indicated that higher variants could offer split seats, split grab rails, a belly pan and additional equipment. The larger full-colour LCD instrument cluster is expected to be available across the range and is likely to support turn-by-turn navigation.
Other visible changes include a redesigned exhaust, updated side body panels and a partially exposed silver-finished frame, adding a more modern look. The clip-on handlebars and hinged fuel filler cap continue unchanged.
One of the most notable mechanical updates is the adoption of a rear monoshock suspension, replacing the twin-shock setup used on previous Classic Pulsar models. This could indicate revisions to the motorcycle’s frame to accommodate the new suspension layout.
The wheels appear similar to those on the outgoing model, while braking duties are expected to continue with a front disc and rear drum setup on select variants.
Power is likely to come from the existing 124.38cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, producing 11.8 PS and 10.8 Nm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The motorcycle is also expected to retain its 15-litre fuel tank.
An official announcement from Bajaj is expected in the coming days, which should confirm the complete feature list, specifications and pricing.
