Bajaj Dominar 250 & 400 Updated, Gets Ride-By-Wire As Well As NS400Z’s Instrument Cluster
Bajaj has updated the Dominar 250 & 400. However, it is a refresh rather than a major overhaul. The brand has added a few features such as ride-by-wire, and priced the bike from Rs. 1.95 Lakh (ex-showroom).
Features
The sports tourer now comes with an LCD instrument cluster with bonded glass from the Pulsar NS400Z, ride-by-wire and four riding modes. The 4 modes, i.e. Road, Rain, Sport and Off-Road, alter the power and torque delivery to suit each scenario. The ergonomics are also improved as there is a new handlebar, a rear carrier with a GPS mount.
Pricing & Market Competition
Bajaj prices the Dominar 250 at Rs. 1.92 Lakh (ex-showroom) and the Dominar 400 at Rs. 2.39 Lakh (ex-showroom). In terms of competition, it competes with the Triumph Scrambler 400X, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, etc. The Bajaj Dominar remains a value-for-money proposition, but a major overhaul is awaited, which could give the bike its unique identity.
