Benelli TNT 135 India Launch
The mini-bike from Benelli will attract a lot of attention

Benelli consists of seven motorcycles in its offering starting from quarter-litre to the 1130cc TNT R. The Italian bikemaker now has plans to enter into the low capacity segment with its mini-bike, the Benelli TNT 135, which was unveiled at the 2015 EICMA motorcycle show. It has been spied on the roads of Pune while doing its test spin. With conventional Benelli design cues, the TNT 135 carries a shrunk body with low saddle height and tiny wheels.

Similar to all other Benelli motorcycles, the TNT 135 has an aggressive stance and stylish looks in a miniature pattern. Most of the elements highly resemble the TNT 25 including the headlamp which is an LED unit, sharp tank extension and rear body panels. The wheels are short in size but look chunky, the tiny twin exhausts under the seats add an extra flavour to its unique design.

The Benelli TNT 135 carries a 135cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine which generates 12.6 BHP at 9000 RPM and a maximum torque of 10.8 Nm at 7000 RPM. It is mated to a 5-speed transmission. At the front, suspension duties are handled by inverted forks and it uses a monoshock at the rear.

Falling into its category as a rival is only the Honda Navi which is, however, different in terms of pricing but carries a similar design pattern. When launched, the Benelli TNT 135 will be available in the price range of Rs 1.3 to 1.5 lakhs. It will drop down at Indian dealerships in March 2017.
