The Pulsar RS 200 was initially spotted with the black-gold and blue-white colour shades that could be introduced later this year, since production has increased.

Bajaj Auto tested the Pulsar RS 200 extensively in India and overseas before launching the model in March earlier this year. While the automaker’s flagship offering is currently available only in two colours – red and yellow, the early set of spy shots emerged online showcased the bike in black and blue colour options, while a very rich looking black and gold paint scheme was also seen. Now a spy shot has emerged online which indicates that Bajaj will soon introduce the black and gold colour scheme on the RS 200 as the delivery ready bike was recently spotted at what appears to be a dealership.

It was believed that Bajaj was saving the additional colour options to make headlines later in the year, keeping the model relevant around the festive season or on other special occasions. Limited production capacity was another reason cited for the manufacturer to have introduced only two colours on the Pulsar RS 200 at the time of launch. The production issue though has now been resolved with the company having doubled the production capacity from this month and this could mean that additional colour options have been added to the palette of the RS 200.

With hopes high of the black-gold Pulsar RS 200 hitting the market soon, it needs to be seen if Bajaj Auto will also introduce the blue and white shade simultaneously. In terms of technical specifications though, there won’t be any changes to the bike with power coming from the same 199.5cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 24.5 PS and 18.6 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed gearbox. You also get a single-channel ABS unit available as optional. We expect the new colour shades to be offered at the same price as the current versions.
