The 3-Series GT Sport Line gets cosmetic upgrades with gloss black finish on the exteriors while the cabin gets updated with leather wrapped steering wheel and different driving modes.

Power on the 3-Series GT Sport Line comes from the same 2.0-litre diesel engine

BMW has launched the new 3-Series Gran Tourismo (GT) Sport Line variant in the Indian market priced at Rs. 39.90 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The spacious and comfortable 3-Series GT is one of the more popular versions of the Bavarian car maker’s 3-Series saloon and the Sport Line trim improves the aesthetic quotient on the same with certain cosmetic upgrades to the exterior and interior. Like on most of its mainstream models, the 3-Series GT Sport Line is also assembled at the automaker’s Chennai facility with 50 percent localised content going in.

Starting with the exterior upgrades, the 2015 BMW 3-Series GT Sport Line gets a new gloss black finish on the nine slat kidney grille and air intakes, while the aluminium door sills get the ‘BMW Sport’ badging. At the sides, the B-pillars are finished in gloss black and window surrounds get done up in matte black, which adds to the visual appeal of the model. The car key also gets a red decorative strip to enhance the sporty quotient. The rear gets finished in new black chrome exhaust tips, keeping up with the sporty theme on the car.

On the inside, the BMW 3-Series GT Sport Line trim gets a leather wrapped steering wheel and sports seats with red contrast stitching. The cabin gets finished in high quality wood and Pearl Chrome accents and also features adjustable ambient lighting in orange or white that can be varied using the iDrive Touch Controller.

Furthermore, the new Sport Line gets a BMW Driving Experience Control switch, which allows the driver to select between different driving modes namely – Comfort, ECO PRO, Sport and Sport+. Power on the 3-Series GT Sport Line comes from the same 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine producing 184 HP at 4000 RPM and 380 Nm of torque between 1750-2750 RPM, paired to a 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission. With no changes in the output, the Sport Line trim is capable of doing the 0-100 km/hr sprint in 7.9 seconds.
