BMW has rejigged the 3-Series lineup with new variants and pricing

BMW launched the new generation 3-Series last year in India in August with the prices starting from Rs. 41.40 lakhs (all prices, ex-showroom) for the entry-level 320d Sport. Now the German luxury carmaker has rejigged the variants and pricing of the 3-Series.

The BMW 3-Series is now available with a new entry-level 330i Sport variant which comes with a price tag of Rs. 41.70 lakhs. The 320d Sport has been discontinued and the diesel variant is available only in the Luxury Line trim, priced at Rs. 47.50 lakhs.

The BMW 330i M Sport is now the range topping model which is priced at Rs. 48.50 lakhs. Pricing of the 330i M Sport has been increased by Rs. 60,000/-.

The 330i is powered by a 1998cc 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine that produces 255 PS at 5000 RPM and 400 Nm at 1550-4400 RPM. The 320d gets a 1995cc 4-cylinder diesel engine that churns out 188 PS at 4000 RPM and 400 Nm at 1750-2500 RPM. Both the engines come mated with a 8-speed automatic transmission.

The BMW 3-Series competes with the likes of Audi A4, Mercedes C-Class and Jaguar XE.
