BMW Motorrad started taking bookings for their mass-market offerings, the G310 GS and the G310R from the 8th of June and now we have news that the much-awaited Bimmers are likely to be launched on the 18th of July. The entry-level BMW bikes are expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 3-3.5 lakhs (ex-showroom) and the bikes can be booked for an amount of Rs. 50,000/-.

Rivaling the KTM Duke 390 and the upcoming 390 Adventure, both the G310R and the G310 GS come powered by a 313cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 33.6 BHP of power and 28 Nm of torque. The powertrain comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Features on offer include all-digital instrument cluster and dual-channel ABS.

The G310R was first showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo while the G310 GS made its debut at the 2018 Auto Expo. Hence, Indian enthusiasts have had to wait really long for these offerings. Both the motorcycles will be built at TVS Motor’s Hosur plant and deliveries are expected to commence soon after the launch or by early August.
