BMW has launched the X7 M50d ‘Dark Shadow’ Edition with a price tag of Rs. 2.02 crores (ex-showroom), today. Limited to only 500 units worldwide, the special edition model is available only on BMW Online Shop.

The large SUV sports a Frozen Arctic Grey metallic paint from BMW Individual (the firm says it is being used for the first time on its X model) which is complemented by black chrome exterior components like the kidney grille and BMW Individual roof rails.

Further, the BMW X7 Dark Shadow price gets customers BMW Laserlight, 22-inch M light-alloy wheels and an M Sport package with M Sport exhaust system as standard.

Inside, the 6-seat SUV comes with BMW Individual trim like Merino leather upholstery, Alcantara roof liner, Nappa leather (in night blue) for the upper part of instrument panel and door armrests, while Black Merino Leather is used in the lower section of the instrument panel and on the front backrests.

In addition, there are BMW Individual interior trim finishers in Fineline Black with aluminium inlays inside the car, while the centre console bears the edition logo.

Of course, equipment such as electrically adjustable front seats with memory function and ventilation, M leather steering wheel, large panoramic sunroof, 5-zone air-conditioning, soft close doors and ‘Crafted Clarity’ glass bits are also present.

A host of features such as a 12.3-inch digital instrument display, 12.3-inch touchscreen, gesture control, wireless charging, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 3D Navigation, and 16-speaker Harman Kardon surround sound system are there too.

Powering the car is a 2993cc, 6-cylinder diesel engine which produces 400 HP and 760 Nm of torque. The motor comes mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The car accelerates from 0-100 km/hr in 5.4 seconds.

Apart from standard safety tech, the BMW X7 Dark Shadow price also includes Automatic Differential Brakes/Locks (ADB-X), extended Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Reversing Assistant and much more.
