BMW X7 40i M Sport 50 Jahre M Edition price is costlier than the regular 40i variant by Rs. 2 lakhs

BMW India has launched the X7 40i M Sport 50 Jahre M Edition for a price tag of Rs. 1,20,50,000/- (ex-showroom) to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the company’s performance division, M.

Locally produced at BMW Group plant in Chennai, the exclusive edition comes in the 40i petrol variant and can be booked online from today onwards. Earlier, BMW India announced that it will launch 10 exclusive 50 Jahre M Editions and this launch is a part of it.

The new special edition carries forward the expansive exterior dimensions and generously proportioned surfaces of the X7. The large kidney grille in Black High Gloss forms the heart of the front while the iconic M emblem sits on top of it.

The emblem also adorns the front and rear logo as well as the wheel hub caps. The car is equipped with 2-axle air suspension, BMW xDrive, M Sport brake calipers in Black High Gloss, and 21-inch Jet Black alloy wheels.

The colour options include Mineral White and Carbon Black. The interiors get M seat belts, M leather steering wheel, seat heating with lumbar support, electrical seat adjustment with memory function, and automatic anti-dazzle function in all mirrors.

The 7-seater also gets 5-zone auto AC and a Sky Lounge panoramic glass sunroof. The 3-litre 6-cylinder petrol engine boasts of BMW’s TwinPower Turbo technology and produces 340 HP and 450 Nm. The car accelerates from 0 -100 km/hr in 6.1 seconds.

The engine comes mated to the 8-speed M Steptronic transmission. A host of BMW ConnectedDrive technologies are on offer. They include BMW Gesture Control, BMW Display Key, wireless charging, and wireless Apple CarPlay.

The modern cockpit concept, ‘BMW Live Cockpit Professional’ running on latest BMW operating system 7.0, includes 3D navigation, a 12.3-inch digital instrument display behind the steering wheel, and a 12.3-inch control display.

Rear-seat ‘Entertainment Professional’ allows users to access the entertainment and navigation from the rear seats. It comprises of 2 10.2-inch full HD displays with touch functionality and comes integrated with a Blu-ray player.

Harman Kardon surround sound system with 16 speakers and various drive assist systems are also part of the package.

The safety features include 6 airbags, Attentiveness Assistance, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Cornering Brake Control (CBC), electric parking brake with auto hold, side-impact protection, electronic vehicle immobiliser and crash sensor, and ISOFIX child seat.
