Bajaj Auto introduced their updated range of BS6 motorcycles more than a month back. The price hike was justified back then due to BS6 but now they have increased it again for NS 200 and RS 200.

Yes, within a month Bajaj has increased the price twice. Both the motorcycles now come with a price hike of Rs. 3501/- each.

The Pulsar NS 200 is priced at Rs. 1.28 lakhs. While the RS 200 comes with a price tag of Rs. 1.48 lakhs (ex-showroom).

There is a considerable increase in pricing for the NS 200 by Rs. 14,176/- over the BS4 model. This translates to 12 percent of price increase compared to the BS4 model.

The NS 200 had a carburetted engine and hence the substantial hike with fuel injection tech. However, the RS 200 already had fuel injection. It comes with relatively less hike of Rs. 6534/-, which is only 4.6 percent.

The Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 also received dual-channel ABS with the BS6 update. In this transition to Bharat Stage 6 with price hike and ongoing pandemic crisis. It will take a lot of time for the bike makers to revive.

A study says, people will shift to personal mobility and avoid public transport. Those who can afford will prefer 2-wheelers and cars post pandemic. This might help the auto industry with a short term spike in sales of 2-wheelers.
