CFMoto is gearing up to enter the Indian market, will offer products in different segments.

CFMoto 250NK
The CFMoto 250NK will be their entry level offering for the Indian market

CFMoto along with its Indian partner AMW motorcycles is all set to launch a range of motorcycles in India by mid 2019. The upcoming motorcycles will begin from 250cc and go up to 650cc. The 650cc motorcycle is also expected to come in an adventure version.

The Chinese company is into making premium products too. CFMoto has already entered into a JV with KTM where it will produce a 999cc, V-Twin, LC8 engine for KTM from 2020 onwards. The new engines are expected to power its whole new range of motorcycles. Previously CFMoto were going to make their entry in India with Eider Motors but due to some scrupulous activities by Eider Motors, the company could never launch its motorcycles here.

AMW Motorcycles is a Bengaluru based private company which is relatively new. They are currently in the process of setting up an assembly plant. The CFMoto-AMW partnership is likely to bring in the 250NK, 400NK, 650NK and 650MT models. A few of the above mentioned models have already been spotted testing on the Indian roads.

Now coming to the motorcycles, The 250NK is a naked motorcycle. It comes with a 250cc, fuel-injected, single cylinder, liquid-cooled engine running a DOHC setup producing 26.5 HP at 9,000 RPM and 22 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The suspension gets 41 mm USD forks upfront and a monoshock at the rear. The braking duties are taken care of by a 300 mm disc at the front and a 245 mm disc at the rear. The motorcycle will also feature all-LED lighting and riding modes. The entire package is held up together by a trellis frame.

The 400NK and the 650NK are essentially the same motorcycles with similar cosmetics. However the difference is in the engine capacities. While the 400NK gets a parallel-twin, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine with an 8-valve setup producing 41.4 HP at 9500 RPM and 34.4 Nm of torque at 7650 RPM. The 650NK gets a similar engine configuration with a 649.3cc engine producing 61 HP at 9000 RPM and  56 Nm of torque at 7000 RPM. Both the motorcycles get 41 mm telescopic forks at the front and a rear monoshock and are held up by a tubular diamond-steel frame. The bikes wears a 120/70 R17 tyre at the front and 160/60 R17 tyre at the rear. The braking duties on the bikes are handled by 300 mm dual-discs up front and a 240 mm disc at the rear.

The CFMoto 650MT is an adventure focused motorcycle and looks different from the naked counterparts. The bike has adventure tourer styling, hand guards, large windscreen and a larger single-piece seat. The motor also is in a different state of tune and produces 70.7 HP at 8750 RPM and 65 Nm of torque. The suspension is in form of USD forks at the front and monoshock at the rear. The front gets 300 mm dual discs and the rear gets a 240 mm disc to drop the anchors on the MT.

There is no word on the pricing yet, but the company is known to be aggressive while pricing its products internationally. The 650NK is priced around AUD 6490 in Australia which roughly converts to Rs. 3.20 lakhs in India. If the company manages such pricing in India, it will surely turn a lot of heads around.
