Citroen C3 gets 0 stars in Latin NCAP crash test
Citroen C3 Latin NCAP crash test results are out and the car has scored a poor 0 star rating. It is a Brazil made C3 that is quipped with dual front airbags.
It has scored 31 percent for Adult Occupant Protection, 12 percent for Child Occupant Protection, 50 percent for Pedestrian Protection and 35 percent for safety assist.
Latin NCAP is believed to be one of the most stringent assessment programmes and if the car was equipped with more airbags and safety features, it might have scored more stars. However, the comments from Latin NCAP say otherwise.
The assessment says footwell area was rated as unstable. The bodyshell was rated as unstable and was not capable of withstanding further loadings. The protection offered to the driver and passenger head and neck was good. Driver´s chest was weak and passenger chest was marginal.
Driver knees and passenger right knee showed marginal protection as they can impact with dangerous structures behind the fascia, passenger´s left knee showed good protection. Driver and passenger´s tibias showed adequate protection.
Now we need to see how does the made in India Citroen C3 performs in Global NCAP crash test.
