Mercedes CLA45 AMG Website

Unlike the conventional norm, Mercedes-Benz India will be first launching the performance version of the CLA sedan, the ‘CLA45 AMG’ in India in July this year, we brought you the news of launch a few months back. Mercedes has commenced promotional activities of the CLA45 AMG, which is now featured on the company’s website. The Mercedes India website gives a synopsis of the four-door sports coupe along with the technical specifications. The launch date for the CLA45 AMG is yet to be revealed.

The CLA45 baby AMG will be the most affordable AMG vehicle that can be purchased and will join the ranks of the C63, E63, SLK 55, G63, GL63 and ML63 AMGs on sale in the country. Inspired to look like a miniature CLS four-door coupe, the CLA45 AMG is outrageously gorgeous. The CLS inspired front fascia coupled with the coupe roofline only adds to the appeal of this beauty. The CLA45 comes with an AMG body kit complete with quad exhausts that add to the visual prowess of the performance saloon.

The AMG touch is extended to the interiors as well with the AMG style steering wheel, performance seats at the front and rear along with carbon-fibre trim and metallic paddle shifters. The air-con vents are inspired from jet engines, while the instrumentation gets red illumination that adds to the aggressive appeal of the performance saloon. The CLA45 AMG is also loaded with a range of safety features which include 9 airbags, Adaptive Brake with Hold function and Attention Assist among others.

Powering the Mercedes CLA45 AMG is a 2.0-litre in-line 4-cylinder, turbocharged motor that belts out 355 HP of power and 450 Nm of torque, paired to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7-speed transmission, while power is sent to all four wheels via Mercedes’ 4MATIC system. The four-door sports coupe can do 0-100 km/hr in just 4.6 seconds and has a limited top speed of 250 km/hr. The baby AMG comes loaded with tech wizardry to keep it planted on the road.

The CLA45 AMG performance saloon features a three-stage ESP with Curve Dynamic Assist and aerodynamic front and rear bumpers with carbon fibre trims and a host of AMG performance parts. Mercedes will be bringing the CLA45 AMG via the CBU route in the country, with the saloon expected to carry a price tag of Rs. 70 lakhs (ex-showroom) when launched. The CLA45 AMG will certainly add to the hype of the CLA sedan that will be launched next year, whereas performance enthusiasts will get a chance to satiate their need for power at a more affordable price.
