Nissan Sunny Facelift India 2014

Nissan is betting big on the Indian market and the country is among the most important for the Japanese automaker. Although Nissan is currently not selling as many cars in India as it had hoped, the automaker does make a big profit from its Indian operations as it is the second largest exporter of cars from the sub-continent. In a bid to penetrate further into the country, Nissan has reignited the Datsun brand which is aimed squarely at emerging markets like India. The first product is the GO hatchback which we recently drove and came out impressed.

The second product from Datsun is the GO+ MPV which was showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo. This vehicle is based on the GO and is a 7-seater vehicle which will be priced very attractively. We have confirmed news about the Datsun GO+ being launched in India in the second half of the year. The other launch from Nissan will be the Sunny facelift, which too was showcased earlier this year. The new Sunny, which is merely a facelift will take sometime to come to market and will be launched only in the second half of the year.

The launch dates of the Datsun GO+ MPV and Nissan Sunny facelift which will be launched around July, is just a few weeks apart. Nissan is now handling sales and marketing on its own with Hover now shown the door. This will surely benefit both Nissan and customers as the National Sales Company (NSC) had really not taken much effort to ensure customer and dealer satisfaction in the country. While the Sunny facelift will inject freshness in the spacious caaaaar, the GO+ MPV will be the cheapest 7-seater offering in the country.
