Look at the Mahindra Bolero that is still going strong

UV sales in December 2021 improved by a small margin and the position of the segment leader was occupied by the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga.

The MPV from Maruti found 11,840 new homes this past month, while during the same period, the Eeco registered sales of 9165 units.

In a distant third place came the MUV from Mahindra, the Bolero. It found 5314 new takers last month and it was followed by the Maruti XL6 with 4090 unit sales.

Toyota’s Innova Crysta occupied the fifth position in the December 2021 UV sales chart having registered sales of 3989 units and during the period, 2901 units of the Renault Triber were also sold in India.

Kia retailed 207 units of the Carnival in the last month of 2021, while the Toyota Vellfire (23 units) and Mahindra Marazzo (2 units) completed the UV sales chart.

Models such as the Innova Crysta and Vellfire (both 44 percent), XL6 (32 percent) and Ertiga (29 percent), posted year-on-year (YoY) sales growth, while overall, the cars in the UV segment registered sales of 37,531 units with a 1 percent YoY growth rate.
