Ducati DesertX price revealed for the Indian market

Ducati DesertX launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 17.91 lakhs (ex-showroom). Bookings for the off-road motorcycle has commenced in the country. Deliveries to start in the first week of January 2023.

The bike will be available in Star White Silk livery. It can be booked in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Kolkata and Chennai.

While the design looks robust and rugged, it has a retro touch inspired by the design of enduro bikes from the 80s.

In terms of ergonomics, the saddle-footrest distance has been designed to make the transition from seated to stand-up riding as easy as possible. It has a seat height of 865 mm and the saddle height can be reduced with a low seat which comes as an optional accessory.

The bike comes with a 21 litre fuel tank capacity. Additional 8 litre rear tank can be added as an accessory. Fuel transfer from the rear to the front tank is enabled when the fuel level in the main tank falls below a certain level and can be activated from the dashboard.

The DesertX is powered by a 937cc Ducati Testastretta 11° twin-cylinder engine that produces 110 HP at 9250 RPM and the torque of 92 Nm at 6500 RPM.

It has got 21-inch front wheels and 18-inch rear wheels. The 46 mm diameter upside-down Kayaba front fork offers 230 mm of travel while the rear Kayaba single shock absorber offers 220 mm of rear wheel travel. It has a ground clearance of 250 mm.

It comes with 6 riding modes – Enduro, Rally, Sport, Touring, Urban and Wet. Along with this it has 4 power modes – Full, High, Medium and Low.

It is loaded with tech like Engine Brake Control (EBC) which is adjustable on 3 levels, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) that is adjustable on 8 levels, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) which can be set on 4 levels and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), set on 3 levels.

Ducati offers a vertically oriented high-resolution 5-inch colour TFT display with smartphone connectivity.
