Ducati Reveals The Panigale V4, Inspired By Revuelto Supercar & Limited To 693 Units
Ducati has revealed the Lamborghini version of the Panigale V4. This is the third collaboration between the Italian supercar and superbike brands. This special edition Panigale V4 will be limited to only 693 units and is inspired by the Lamborghini Revuelto.
The Panigale V4 Lamborghini is the third special edition after the Diavel 1260 Lamborghini and the Streetfighter V4 Lamborghini. The Panigale V4 is also the third special edition after the Panigale V4 Tricolore and Panigale V4 Tricolore Italia to be based on the Italian superbike.
What’s Unique?
This special edition is limited to 693 units, and there will be 63 additional Panigale V4 built for the Ad Personam customers of the Revuelto. These customers will have the choice to match the specification of the V12 supercar. The customization extends beyond the body of the bike to the seat, brake calipers, logos, wheels and plexiglass.
All of this is complemented by a matching paddock stand. The rest of the 630 units are finished in the green and black livery with ‘63’ dotted all around the bike. This number refers to the year 1963, when Lamborghini was founded. The tail section and winglets are also inspired by the Revuelto.
The Panigale V4 Lamborghini gets various carbon fibre highlights at the fairing, tail section, front and rear mudguard and exhaust cover. It gets a homologated Akrapovic titanium under-belly exhaust system with a carbon tip. This gives it a 2.5 HP boost as compared to the rest of the Panigale V4 lineup.
It is also 2 Kg lighter as a result, weighing at 185 Kg (wet, without fuel). There is also a billet aluminium plate at the steering head bearing which lists the bike’s unique identification number. Additionally, the number can also be found on the TFT display during the startup procedure.
Engine
The Ducati Panigale V4 Lamborghini is powered by the 1103cc Desmodieci Stradale V4 engine, which produces a higher 218.5 HP and 122.1 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. This engine is also Euro5+ compliant, as are the rest of the engines used in the Italian superbike.
Outlook
Ducati has formed a strategic partnership with Lamborghini to entice potential customers with one of their neighbours. Both brands possess the qualities of delivering aspirational products, which have been capitalized on to a great extent. This partnership for creating exclusive bikes will certainly yield more sales and generate higher amount of hype compared to the competition.
