Ducati has expanded the Scrambler family with the launch of the Scrambler Mach 2.0 in India at a sticker price of Rs. 8.52 lakhs (ex-showroom). The bike’s name is inspired by a bike that made Ducati and motorcycling, history in the 1960’s. The Italian automaker had launched the Mach 1 250, back in 1965. ‘Mach’, in fact, is the unit of measurement for supersonic speeds.
The Ducati Scrambler Mach 2.0 features a paint scheme created by the renowned designer from California, Roland Sands, with colours that evoke the classic West Coast style of the 1970’s. It also features a low-slung tapered aluminium handlebar, dedicated Flat Track Pro seat, black exhaust and cylinder covers and a cafe racer styled brushed cooling fins.
The Scrambler Mach 2.0 is powered by an 803cc twin-cylinder Desmodue motor with fuel-injection that produces 73 HP at 8250 RPM and 67 Nm of torque at 5750 RPM. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
The Scrambler Mach 2.0 gets a 14-litre fuel-tank and tips the scales at 186 kgs (wet weight). The motorcycle is available for delivery across all 7 Ducati dealerships in India.
